Are you trying to log in to your Hulu account but keep getting the “Your login has been blocked” error message? Don’t worry; it’s usually pretty easy to fix.

Below, we’ll explain what causes the Hulu login blocked error and what you can do to fix it.

What Causes the Hulu Login Blocked Error?

Hulu login issues error occurs when you receive one of the following messages:

  1. Your login has been blocked
  2. Error: Your login has been blocked
  3. Your login is invalid. Please try again.

There are a few possible reasons that you’re getting this error message when trying to sign in, including:

  1. Incorrect login credentials
  2. Problems with your Hulu subscription, such as receiving a ban for violating the Terms of Services
  3. Glitches arising from the Hulu app, Hulu servers, or your web browser
  4. Internet connection issues, such as using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to connect to Hulu
  5. Problems arising from changing house or IP address

How to Fix Hulu Login Blocked Glitch

Because there are several possible causes for this error, there are multiple things you can do to fix it. Below, we’ll explain six potential fixes for the Hulu login blocked error, starting with the simplest and progressing to more complicated solutions.

1. Double-Check Your Login Credentials

Make sure you’re signing in with the correct email address and password. While this seems obvious, sometimes it’s easy to forget that you have multiple accounts for a single service.

If you pay for Hulu via a third-party service like Amazon Prime, Apple, Roku, Spotify, or T-Mobile, you’ll have to use the email address and password for that service.

If you still can’t sign in on the account page, try resetting your Hulu password. You should receive a password reset confirmation email and be able to create a new password easily.

If you’ve forgotten which email address you used to sign up for Hulu, you can find out how to recover it using Hulu’s Account Recovery tool.

2. Make Sure You’re Signed Up

When you sign up for Hulu (especially if you sign up through a bundle package), you’ll have to activate your Hulu account before you can log in to the app or website.

Here’s how to activate your account depending on which service you signed up through:

  1. Disney Bundle
  2. Spotify Premium for Students
  3. Hulu with T-Mobile Unlimited

If you’ve activated your account but still can’t sign in, it’s worth checking that your subscription is still active. Something may have gone wrong with your auto-renewal payment method that prevented it from going through. This just means you need to update your payment information and renew your subscription.

3. Restart the Hulu App or Web Browser

You’ve probably already tried this, but just in case, try resetting your Hulu app or web browser. Simply close the program, wait a few seconds, and start it again. Occasionally, this can clear up random connection glitches and get the Hulu service working again.

Note: There may be an issue with the Hulu service, so it’s worth checking whether other users report problems. To do so, head to the Down Detector website or search social media for mentions.

4. Troubleshoot Your Internet Connection

Streaming services require a fairly decent internet connection to work effectively. If your internet is playing up or your network connection isn’t up to speed, you’ll likely experience issues while trying to watch Hulu.

See our in-depth guide on troubleshooting an internet connection.

This is especially true if you use Hulu through a Live TV plan since you need to configure your home network settings through the service. Unfortunately, you can only change this four times a year, so make sure you need to.

Likewise, if you’ve only logged in on mobile and not your home account in 30 days, you might need to log in to your home account before it works again.

Note: VPNs often cause issues with streaming services, as they’re usually banned to prevent people from faking their geolocation. Try disabling your VPN or proxy network and logging in.

5. Update the Hulu App to the Latest Version

If you stream Hulu via the app, and something’s going wrong, it might need an update. Often, updates clear up residual bugs, improve performance, and provide security patches that protect your accounts — so they’re worth it.

How you update your Hulu app will depend on your device.

To update the Android app:

  1. Open Google Play Store, then select your Profile icon.
  2. Select Manage apps and device and select Hulu in the Manage tab.
  1. Tap Update.

To update the iOS app on iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open the App Store and select Updates.
  2. Find Hulu, then select Update if available.

For other devices, like a Smart TV, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, or PlayStation, you’ll need to navigate the software or system settings and update the app manually. If you’re finding it hard, you can see how to update every device at Hulu.com.

Note: If the Hulu app still doesn’t work, you could uninstall the app and re-download it from the app store. While frustrating, it may help clear the Hulu error and get the app working again.

6. Clear Your Web Browser and App Cache

Occasionally, app and browser caches can become corrupted, causing many problems. To fix this, clearing the cache, resetting errors, and getting the app working correctly once again is possible.

To clear your cache on a web browser like Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari, head to Settings > History > Clear History. There’s usually an option to check and clear the “Cache.” Check out our guide to see how to clear the cache on any browser.

To clear the Hulu cache on an Android mobile device:

  1. Open Settings > Apps.
  1. Select Hulu and tap Storage.
  1. Tap Clear cache.

To clear the Hulu cache on iPhone:

  1. Press and hold the Hulu icon on your home screen, then press the X. Press it again and tap Delete.

Note: Check the device’s settings menu for other devices or refer to the manufacturer’s guide.

Keep Watching Your Favorite Movies

Hopefully, this troubleshooting guide has helped you unblock your Hulu account and get back to watching your favorite movies and TV shows. If not, your last option is to contact Hulu’s customer support and walk them through your problem — hopefully, they’ll get you back up to speed in no time.

Did you know that Facebook turned 17 in 2023? Time flies, and your Facebook account might be older than you think. In case you’re wondering, “When did I join Facebook?” The good news is that it’s easy to find out when you created your account.

If you’re wondering when someone else joined Facebook — for example, so you can share posts or events with them that they might have missed — it’s a little trickier to find that out. It’s easy when you know how, though, and we’ll show you two ways to find out your account creation date, as well as how to find out when a friend joined Facebook.

When Did I Join Facebook? How to Find Out

Find Out When You Joined Facebook Using the App

To find out when you joined Facebook using the Facebook app, there are a few simple steps to follow.

  1. Open the Facebook app.
  2. At the upper right corner of your screen, beneath the Messenger icon, click the icon that shows your profile pic with three horizontal lines.
  3. Tap the Cog icon at the top right of your screen.
  4. Tap the Search icon (that looks like a magnifying glass) at the top right of your screen.
  1. Tap in the search bar, then type “Access your information.
  2. Tap Access your information from the list of options.
  3. Scroll down and tap Personal Information.
  4. Under Profile Information, you should see a heading which says “Your Account Creation Date.” The date you joined Facebook should be underneath this.

How to Find Out When You Joined Facebook in Your Browser

If you’re wondering, “When did I join Facebook?” but you don’t have a device with the app to hand, you can find out this information by going to the Facebook website in your browser. Here’s how to do that:

  1. Navigate to facebook.com.
  2. Click your Profile icon in the top right corner and select Settings & Privacy > Settings.
  3. Next to Access Profile Information, click View.
  1. It may take a few seconds for your profile information to load.
  2. Scroll down and click Personal Information.
  3. Under Your Account Creation Date, you should see the date you joined Facebook.

How to Find Out When Someone Else Joined Facebook

What happens if you want to find out when someone else joined Facebook? You might want to do this in order to share posts they’ve missed. Though it takes a bit of effort, it’s fairly easy to find out when an account was created. The easiest way to do this is in your browser:

  1. Go to facebook.com and navigate to a friend’s profile to find out when they joined Facebook. You can do this by going to your friend list or typing their name into the search bar.
  2. On their wall, click the Filter button next to Posts, then choose a date.
  3. Use the drop-down menu next to Go To to choose a year, then click Done. A good starting point is 2004, since that was when Facebook was created.
  4. In this instance, there are no posts for 2004, so we’ll try another year until there are posts.
  1. In this example, we’ll try 2009. We can see some posts from March 14, 2009.
  2. We might try searching for February 2009, to see if this friend was on Facebook then.
  3. As you can see, February has no posts, which means March 14, 2009 was the first time this person posted on Facebook, and likely when they joined.
  1. Some accounts will display the creation date when you reach it, but not all will. If your friend has hidden their Facebook status on a specific date, you may not be able to see the post when their account was created.

That’s it! No more wondering, “When did I join Facebook?” as it takes just a few seconds to find out your account creation date through the Facebook app or in your browser. Finding out when a friend joined Facebook is a bit more complex, and you’ll need to do it in your browser, but it’s still pretty quick and easy to do. Knowing when your friend joined Facebook means you can easily fill them in on any events or posts they may have missed. While you’re here, why not find out how to see all your likes on Facebook?

Are you continually receiving a “This video file cannot be played. (Error Code: 102630)” message while playing video content in your web browser? It could be a single video file causing trouble or a site-wide issue affecting multiple videos.

Error code 102630 can pop up due to several factors, such as your browser being incompatible with the video, an outdated graphics driver acting up, or a browser extension causing conflicts.

Don’t worry, though. This guide is all about troubleshooting and resolving error code 102630. We’ll explore multiple solutions to help you return to watching videos as usual.

Update Your Web Browser

It’s best to kick things off by updating your web browser to its latest version. Newer updates improve compatibility with web-based video formats and patch known issues behind streaming errors.

Your browser should automatically update itself, but you can always double-check by visiting its Settings panel.

For example, if you use Google Chrome, open the Chrome menu, select Settings, and choose About Chrome on the sidebar. Then, wait until Chrome updates itself to its latest version.

An exception is Apple Safari, where browser updates are tied to Mac system software updates. To update macOS, open the Apple menu and select System Settings > General > Software Update.

Enable Google Widevine

Many video hosting sites rely on Google Widevine (a decryption module) to enforce digital rights management (DRM) on digital media content. This isn’t an issue with Chrome and Safari, where the module is permanently active.

However, if error code 102630 occurs on another browser like Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox, it’s best to check and enable Google Widevine if it’s inactive.

Microsoft Edge: Type edge://flags into the address bar and press Enter. On the Experiments screen that appears, type Widevine DRM into the Search box. Then, open the pull-down menu next to Widevine DRM and select Default or Enabled.

Mozilla Firefox: Open the Firefox menu and choose Add-ons and themes. Once the Add-ons Manager shows up, select Plugins on the sidebar. Then, select the More icon (three dots) next to Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google Inc. and choose Always Activate.

Disable Virtual Private Networks

Virtual private networks (VPNs) improve online privacy but tend to cause communication issues with video streaming services. If you have one set up on your computer, briefly turn it off and confirm if it’s the reason behind the error.

Clear the Browser Cache

An obsolete web browser cache can conflict with websites, prevent videos from loading, and trigger playback errors. If error code 102630 persists, clear all cached data and try again.

Google Chrome: Open the Chrome menu, point to More Tools, and select Clear Browsing Data. On the Clear Browser Data pop-up, set Time range to All time, check the boxes next to Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files, and select Clear data.

Microsoft Edge: Open the Edge menu and select Settings. On the Settings screen, select Privacy, Search, and Services on the sidebar, and Choose What to Clear under the Clear browsing data section. Then, set Time range to All time, check the boxes next to Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files, and select Clear Now.

Mozilla Firefox: Open the Firefox menu and select Settings. On the Settings screen, choose Privacy & Security on the sidebar, scroll to the Cookies and Site Data section, and select Clear Data. Then, check the boxes next to Cookies and Site Data and Cached Web Content and choose Clear.

Apple Safari: Select Safari > Clear History on the menu bar, set Clear to all history, and select Clear History.

Flush the DNS Cache

The DNS (Domain Name Service) cache can contain obsolete URLs (or web addresses), preventing your browser from fetching video file data. Delete the cached DNS data to force the system to resolve everything from scratch.

Microsoft Windows: Right-click the Start button, select Windows PowerShell/Terminal (Admin), and execute the following command:

Clear-DnsClientCache

Apple macOS: Open the Launchpad, select Other > Terminal, and execute the command below:

sudo dscacheutil -flushcache;sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder

Disable Third-Party Extensions

Browser extensions ramp up what you can do online but occasionally interfere with web elements like embedded media players. Visit your browser’s add-ons management console and turn everything off.

  • Google Chrome: Open the Chrome menu, select Extensions, and disable the switches next to all extensions.
  • Microsoft Edge: Open the Edge menu, choose Extensions, and deactivate all extensions.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Open the Firefox menu, select Add-ons and themes, and disable all switches under Extensions.
  • Apple Safari: Select Safari > Settings on the menu bar, switch to the Extensions tab, and uncheck the boxes next to all extensions.

If that helps, re-enable your extensions one by one until you identify the add-ons causing error code 102630. If you do, remember to disable it the next time the error pops up.

Disable Hardware Acceleration

Desktop browsers like Chrome, Edge, and Firefox offload resource-intensive tasks like video decoding to the graphics processing unit or GPU. However, although that improves performance, it can lead to playback errors due to driver incompatibilities and conflicts with other hardware components.

Disable hardware acceleration on your browser and check if that fixes error 102630.

Google Chrome: Open the Chrome menu, select Settings, and choose System on the sidebar. Then, turn off the switch next to Use hardware acceleration when available and select Relaunch.

Microsoft Edge: Open the Edge menu, select Settings, and choose System and Performance on the sidebar. Then, toggle the switch next to Use hardware acceleration when available and select Restart.

Mozilla Firefox: Open the Firefox menu and select Settings. On the Settings screen, scroll to the Performance section, uncheck the box next to Use recommended performance settings, and turn off Use hardware acceleration when available.

Apple Safari: Safari does not provide an option to disable hardware acceleration.

Update Your Video Card Drivers

The error can disappear after turning off hardware acceleration. But if it’s at the cost of choppy video performance, check if newer updates for your graphics card address the issue.

On a PC, just visit your graphics card manufacturer’s website—NVIDIA, AMD, Intel, etc.—and download and install the latest video card drivers. Optionally, check Windows Update for additional updates to video hardware—right-click the Start button and go to Settings > Windows Update.

On a Mac, updating the system software to its latest version should automatically update the video drivers—open the System Settings app and select General > Software Update.

Try a Different Web Browser

Different browsers have different capabilities—some handle video files and streaming protocols better than others. Try a different browser if none of the above solutions work. This approach can also help determine if the problem is with your browser or the video source.

If you need ideas, check out these alternative browsers you’ve never heard of.

Contact the Site’s Support Service

Lastly, error code 102630 can result from corrupt or missing video files on the hosting site servers. If the error occurs on multiple browsers and devices, your only option is to contact the site’s support service.

Back to Watching Videos Error-Free

Error code 102630 can dampen your video streaming experience, but fortunately, there are many techniques to combat this issue. Whether it’s updating your browser, disabling VPNs or browser extensions, or updating your video card drivers, one of these methods is bound to get rid of it. Switch browsers or contact the site if all else fails.

Roku devices are one of the best TV streaming devices around; they are easy to use and packed with channels and apps to watch. For the most part, Roku devices are designed to be plug-and-play, so you don’t need to worry about updating your Roku, as everything happens automatically.

But what happens if you get the Roku error 009? This is generally caused by your device failing to connect to the internet via a wired or wireless connection. A few different things could be causing this, so we’ll look at why you’re seeing this error code and a few fixes to try if error 009 Roku is popping up on your device.

What’s Causing Roku Error 0099?

As mentioned above, error 009 Roku generally indicates that your Roku device can’t connect to the internet, but what’s causing the issue? There could be any number of things going on, from a problem with your router to a blocked Wi-Fi signal or damaged cable. Below, we’ll look at how to figure out what’s responsible for Roku error 009 and how to fix the problem, depending on what’s gone wrong.

1. Check Your Other Devices

The best thing to do first is check to see if your other devices are connected to your home network (whether wireless or wired). If your phone and tablet are connected, that’s an indication the issue is with your Roku device, not your internet connection.

2. Check Your Roku’s Internet Connection

You can check if your Roku device connects to the internet in just a few quick steps.

  1. From the Home Screen, go to Settings > Network > Check Connection.
  2. Hit Select, and your device will automatically check your connection to the internet.
  1. Assuming your connection works normally, you should see a screen confirming your connection check was successful.

3. Try Restarting Your Modem

If your device isn’t connecting to the internet following the above test, restart your modem to see if that solves the issue. Turn it off, give it a few seconds, turn it on again, then wait a few minutes before rerunning the above connection check.

4. Check Your Cables

It’s also a good idea to check your internet and power cables to ensure they’re not damaged. A damaged cable, like one that pets have chewed, could easily lead to connection issues. Or it may be that a cable has come loose without you realizing it.

5. Restart your Roku

If restarting your modem hasn’t helped, try restarting your Roku device to see if that eliminates Roku error 009. Turning a device off and then on again is good practice when experiencing issues. Hopefully, once your Roku device restarts, error 009 Roku will be a thing of the past.

6. Switch to a Different App

It might be that the specific app you’re using on your Roku device is experiencing issues and causing Roku error code 009. Try switching to a different streaming app and see if the error persists. You could also go to Twitter and check if specific services are down or use a site like Downdetector to see if there are any current issues.

7. Try a Wired Connection

If your Roku doesn’t seem to connect via Wi-Fi, use an ethernet cable for a wired connection and see if that gets rid of the error code. You’ll usually enjoy faster speeds and a more stable connection this way too.

8. Reset Your Roku’s Network Connection

Try a network connection reset on your device to see if that helps solve the problem. Here’s how to do that:

  1. Go to Settings > System > Advanced System Settings.
  2. Select Network Connection Reset > Reset Connection.
  1. This erases all your internet connection data, so you’ll need to re-enter your Wi-Fi network details and run a connection check to see if the issue is resolved.
  2. You could also try connecting your Roku device to another network, if one is available, to see if this fixes things.

9. Clear the Cache

You can clear the cache on your Roku to improve its performance and eliminate any troublesome issues like Roku error code 009. You’ll need your Roku remote:

  1. Press Home five times on the remote, Up once, Rewind twice, then Fast Forward twice.
  2. This automatically clears your Roku’s cache, which will take a few minutes to complete.
  3. It’s a good idea to restart your Roku device once the cache has been cleared.

10. Speak to your ISP

If you’re trying to use your Roku device in a public place, such as a hotel or school, or connecting to free public Wi-Fi, you might experience issues. That’s because these internet connections may limit the use of streaming devices and services, so you might be unable to connect your Roku to the internet.

11. Perform a Roku Factory Reset

As a last resort, you could try factory resetting your Roku. Note that this will delete all your data and preferences from your Roku device, so it will be in an as-new state as it was when you purchased it. Ensure you note your Roku account details, as you’ll need these to log back in once your device restarts.

Hopefully, one of the above fixes has banished Roku error 009, and you can now use your Roku device normally. However, if the issue persists and you still see error 009 Roku, this is a great time to contact Roku support for advice. They should be able to help you fix the issue or let you know if you’ll need to replace your device.

Navigating your social networks doesn’t always go as smoothly as planned, and sometimes you need to create a little space from certain contacts—even for digital financial transactions.

If you’re using the Cash App and are looking for a way to block (or unblock) someone, you’ll need to use the mobile app, as the block and unblock feature isn’t available on the Cash App for the web.

What Happens When You Block Someone on the Cash App?

Deciding to block someone on Cash App affects how you and the blocked individual can interact through the platform.

First, once someone is blocked, they won’t be able to send you any money or requests for money through the app. You also won’t receive any notifications about their attempts.

Also, if any pending transactions haven’t been completed, they will be canceled.

It’s important to note that blocking someone on Cash App doesn’t remove your transaction history with that person. Previous interactions, whether payments or requests, will still be visible in your activity feed. So, while blocking helps limit future interaction, it doesn’t erase the past.

Block Someone on the Cash App

Blocking someone on Cash App is relatively simple, only requiring a few taps of the screen.

  1. Open the Cash App, tap the Activity icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen, and then select the user you’d like to block.
  1. Scroll to the bottom of the selected user’s profile and tap Block.

A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm that you want to block that user. Select Block, and you will have successfully blocked them.

Unblock Someone on the Cash App

The steps for unblocking someone are similar to blocking them.

  1. Open Cash App and go to the blocked user’s profile.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of their profile page and tap Unblock.

You won’t be asked to confirm that you want to unblock them. Make sure you really want to unblock them before you click that button.

Navigating Your Financial Interactions

With Cash App’s blocking and unblocking feature at your fingertips, you’re empowered to take control of your financial interactions. It offers the flexibility to manage who can send you money or request funds, creating a more personal and secure transaction environment.

Whether you’re in a dispute, aiming to limit communication, or just need peace of mind, understanding how to use these features is essential to using Cash App responsibly.

However, remember that using the block function doesn’t erase your transaction history with a contact or prevent them from reaching out through other channels. Ultimately, your ability to block or unblock a contact in Cash App is just one tool among many in navigating your financial life, and it should be used thoughtfully and wisely.

Roku is one of the best TV streaming devices out there, and one of the greatest things about a Roku device is that it downloads and installs updates automatically. This means you never — or rarely — have to think about updating your Roku. But what if, during an update, you see Roku error 003?

Don’t panic. This points to a connection issue between your Roku device and Roku’s servers, and can be caused by a number of different things. We’ll take a look at the most common reasons this is happening, as well as a few fixes to try if you’re seeing error 003 on your Roku device.

What’s Causing Roku Error 003?

We already mentioned that the root of Roku error 003 is a connection issue, but what’s the cause of that? It could be that there’s an internet connectivity problem at your home or work, including issues with your ISP or your router. Perhaps your Roku device isn’t connected to the internet, or maybe the issue is with Roku’s servers, which could be down for maintenance or some other reason. Below we’ll look at how to figure out what’s causing error 003 on Roku, and how to fix it in each case.

Check if Roku Servers Are Down or Having Issues

First, it’s a good idea to check if the problem lies with Roku’s servers. You can use a site such as Downdetector to find out if Roku’s website is down.

If this is the case, you know there’s no issue at your end — you’ll just need to wait for the service to come back online.

Try Restarting Your Roku Device

If Roku servers are up and running, you can try restarting your Roku device to see if that solves your connectivity problem. Turning devices off and on again is a good habit to get into for any issues — hopefully, once your device restarts, it will connect to the internet and continue the software update normally, without error 003 on Roku.

Log Out and In Again

Logging out of your device then back in can often solve any update errors. This ensures that the problem isn’t linked to any issues with your account. It isn’t possible to log out of your Roku account from your TV or device, but you can do it by visiting the Roku website from your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Here’s how to log out of your account.

  1. On your computer, tablet, or smartphone, go to my.roku.com
  2. Sign in to your device’s account.
  3. On your account page, scroll down to My Linked Devices.
  4. Under My Linked Devices, select your Roku device.
  5. Choose Unlink and confirm.
  6. When you turn your Roku device back on, you’ll need to re-add your Roku account and log back in.

You can also factory reset your Roku device, but this isn’t recommended unless you’re selling, returning, or giving away your device, as it erases all your data and personal settings.

Check Your Roku Device’s Internet Connection

The next thing worth checking is whether your device has a good internet connection. If there’s an issue with your router at home or at work, or if your device can’t connect to the internet for some other reason, it won’t be able to download software updates. This can cause Roku error 003. Here’s how to check your Roku device’s internet connection:

  1. Go to Settings > Network > Check Connection, then hit OK on your remote to check your device’s connection to the internet.
  1. If all is working normally, you should see a Connection Results box saying “Connection check was successful.” Click OK.

You might also notice this error code — or other issues with updates — if you connect your Roku device to public wireless networks, such as hotel or train Wi-Fi, or even a mobile hotspot. That’s because speeds on these networks are often capped, which can cause problems updating your Roku device.

Check Your Router for Issues

If your router isn’t connected to the internet properly, this can cause a whole host of issues with your Roku device. You may not even know about these issues as your device may seem to be connected to the internet.

Check your router to see if it is showing amber or red lights, rather than green. Even if all appears to be working normally, it’s often worth restarting your router to see if that solves the Roku error 003 issue.

Try a Wired Connection

If your Roku device supports it, you could try using an ethernet cable for a faster, more stable wired connection to the internet. Not all Roku devices support wired connectivity, however. Those that do include some Roku TVs, the Roku Ultra LT, and the Roku Ultra.

Factory Reset Your Roku Device

None of the above fixes working? You might need to perform a factory reset on your device. This will erase all your personal data and settings, as well as your account, so make sure you have your Roku account details stored somewhere safe before you reset your Roku device. After the reset, you’ll need to set up your Roku again and log back into your account.

Hopefully, one of the above fixes has solved the error 003 Roku issue for you. However, if even a factory reset fails to resolve Roku error 003, you’re probably feeling pretty frustrated. This is the time to reach out to Roku’s technical support, who will be able to let you know about any known issues, offer possible fixes, or tell you whether your device will need to be replaced.

One of the best things about a Spotify Premium subscription is that you can download music for offline listening — perfect if you’re on a road trip or somewhere with spotty internet connectivity. It’s easy to make a playlist with all your favorite downloaded tracks, too, but what happens if you want to delete your downloaded songs from Spotify?

This might be to save storage space on your device, or simply because you don’t listen to those songs anymore. We’ll show you how to remove downloads from Spotify on your Android or iOS device, as well as how to do it on your PC and on the web.

How to Remove Downloads from Spotify on Android and iOS

We’ll start with the Android and iOS apps, as they’re the most popular options for listening to Spotify on the go. If your phone doesn’t have much storage space, you might want to remove your downloaded tracks to save valuable space. Here’s how to remove downloads from Spotify in the mobile app — the steps are the same across both the Android and iOS apps.

  1. Open the Spotify app and go to Your Library.
  2. Find the album, playlist, or song you want to delete from Downloads.
  3. Click the downward-facing arrow button (it should be green for Downloaded tracks/playlists/albums) to the left of the Shuffle button to toggle it off.
  4. You’ll see a message saying, “Remove From Downloads?” Click Remove to delete the album, playlist, or track — but remember, you then won’t be able to play it offline.
  5. The downloaded track, playlist, or album should now be deleted from your device.

Note: If you’ve downloaded an entire album or playlist, you can’t delete individual tracks from your Spotify downloads, only the entire album or playlist.

How to Remove Downloads From Spotify on Your PC

If you’ve downloaded music from Spotify to your PC, it’s easy to remove these files by using the Spotify app for Windows or Mac — or you can access Spotify through your web browser.

Removing Downloads From Spotify on the App

Here’s how to delete downloaded music from Spotify on your Windows PC or Mac computer using the Spotify app. The steps to follow are the same regardless of which OS you’re using.

  1. Launch the Spotify app and click on Your Library in the left-hand menu.
  2. Choose the downloaded track, playlist, or album you want to delete from downloads.
  3. Click on the green downward-facing arrow Remove Download button to the left of the Play button.
  4. You’ll see a pop-up saying “Remove From Downloads?
  5. Click Remove to delete the album, playlist, or track from your Spotify downloads.

The selected track, playlist, or album will now be deleted from your Spotify downloads on your computer.

Removing Downloads From Spotify on the Web

Unfortunately, the Spotify web player doesn’t currently give you the option to download songs, albums, or playlists to your PC or mobile device. When using the web player at open.spotify.com, you’ll notice there’s no green download button next to albums, playlists, or tracks. If you want to download music to your Spotify on PC, you’ll need to use the Windows or Mac app to manage your downloads.

As you can see, it’s quick and easy to remove downloads from Spotify using the mobile app on Android or iOS devices or on your Windows PC or Mac using the app. Remember though that you can’t delete or remove individual tracks from a downloaded album or playlist — when you click the green download button to remove downloaded music, you’ll be removing the entire playlist or album.

SIM cards and SD cards can indeed look similar to the untrained eye. Both cards are used in mobile phones and other mobile gadgets. However, they have different histories, purposes, and functions.

The Basics of SIM and SD Cards

A SIM card or Subscriber Identity Module is a microchip that securely stores your mobile phone number and cellular network subscription data.

It lets mobile phones make phone calls, send text messages (SMS), and use data services on a GSM cellular network. Mobile phones have a dedicated SIM card slot, and the card’s size can range from a full-size SIM to a nano SIM card.

An SD card, short for Secure Digital card, is a flash memory card used as additional storage for digital data. SD cards can range from standard SD to microSD or (rarely used) miniSD. They’re found in various electronic devices, including Android smartphones, digital cameras, and game consoles like the Nintendo 3DS and Switch.

The main difference between a SIM card and an SD card lies in its functions. A SIM card gives your device its identity, enabling it to make phone calls and send text messages. In contrast, an SD card is essentially a portable drive that can be inserted into various electronic devices to store data.

While some devices have separate slots for each card type, others, particularly smartphones, can use a combined slot. For example, some Samsung Galaxy models often have a hybrid slot where you can place two SIM cards (dual SIM functionality) or one SIM card and one microSD card for additional storage. However, this does not mean that SIM or SD cards have anything in common since these hybrid slots simply use clever engineering design to integrate both discrete standards.

Now that we have a good overview of SD and SIM cards, let’s have a closer look at each in turn.

SIM Cards: The Key to Mobile Connectivity

A SIM card is like your mobile phone’s passport. It identifies you to the mobile network, allowing you to place phone calls, send SMS or use apps like WhatsApp that require a mobile phone number. The tiny chip contains an International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) number and keys for encrypting voice and data traffic.

The SIM card has no storage capacity for photos, videos, or apps. However, it does store specific information like your phone number, SMS, and contacts, depending on the phone’s settings and mobile network.

SIM cards come in four sizes — full-size, Mini SIM, micro SIM cards, and nano SIM cards.

Now, there’s a good chance the “full-size” SIM you’re thinking of is the wrong one! These credit card-sized SIMs aren’t in use anymore, and the largest SIM card size you’ll still see is the Mini SIM, but even that is getting rare. It’s typical to get a 3-in-1 SIM package. these days with the mini, micro, and nano SIM sizes built into one card. You simply break out the size your device needs. The nano SIM has virtually no plastic material around the metal contacts, thanks to how much microchip technology has advanced.

Thanks to these modern nano sims, it’s possible to have compact dual-sim phone. This means you can have two different phone numbers or mobile network subscriptions on the same device; a handy feature for frequent travelers or those juggling work and personal numbers.

SD Card: Your Mobile Data Warehouse

An SD card’s primary function is data storage. It acts as an extension of your device’s internal storage, providing additional storage capacity for your files. You can use it to store data like photos, videos, apps, and other content on your Android phone or other devices that use SD card technology such as cameras.

Unlike a SIM card, an SD card doesn’t provide network functionalities or store your mobile phone number. Its only goal is to offer extra storage space. That’s why when you get a new phone, all your apps and media files can be transferred seamlessly if you’ve stored them on your SD card.

SD cards come in various storage sizes, from a few gigabytes to a whopping 1TB or more. Leading brands like SanDisk offer a range of SD cards readily available online from retailers like Amazon.

SD cards also come in different formats. Full-size SD cards are typically used in digital cameras and laptops, while microSD cards are more common in smaller gadgets like mobile phones. Devices without an SD card slot can still access SD card data using a USB card reader, assuming they have the requisite USB port.

SIM and SD Card Support in Android and iOS Phones

For Android phones, both SIM and microSD cards are frequently used together. This means you don’t have to worry too much about buying the biggest capacity Android phone you can afford, since you can always expand your storage.

On the other hand, SD cards are not nearly as reliable as your phone’s internal storage, and spontaneous SD card failure happens when you can least afford it. So always make backups!

Apple iPhones differ slightly. iPhones also use a SIM card for network capabilities. But instead of using a microSD card for additional storage, they rely solely on internal storage. This design choice is why you must carefully choose the storage capacity when purchasing an iPhone. On the upside, you will have much higher reliability and speed than an SD card, although Apple charges a significant premium for larger storage sizes.

From Mobile Phones to Other Devices

While SIM cards are mainly associated with mobile phones, SD cards have a broader range of applications. For example, digital cameras typically store high-resolution photos and videos with full-size SD cards. Game consoles like the Nintendo Switch use microSD cards to expand storage for games and saved data.

Moreover, some electronic devices use SD cards for operational purposes. A case in point is the Raspberry Pi, a mini-computer popular among DIY enthusiasts and educators, which uses an SD card to store the operating system and program files.

You will of course find SIM cards in devices that are not mobile phones. This includes USB cellular modems, laptops with built-in cellular functionality, iPads with cellular access, and even the Sony Vita had a cellular model.

eSims: The End of SIM Cards?

SIM cards have gone from credit card sized to the tiny nano size, and might now become essentially invisible. We’re seeing the transition from physical SIM cards to the latest technological innovation – the eSIM or embedded SIM.

So, what exactly is an eSIM? It’s a small, non-removable chip embedded directly into your device. The eSIM does everything a regular SIM does, storing your subscriber profile and allowing your device to connect to a cellular network. However, the eSIM eliminates the need for a physical card and, consequently, a SIM card slot.

The primary advantage of eSIM technology is its convenience. With an eSIM, you can switch between carriers or data plans without needing a new SIM card. This means no more fiddling with tiny cards or hunting for a paperclip to open the SIM card slot. Instead, you can manage your mobile subscription directly from your device settings.

Leading tech companies are embracing eSIM technology. Apple, for example, has incorporated eSIMs into its newer iPhone models, iPad Pro, and Apple Watch. Google’s Pixel phones also feature eSIM technology, and Samsung’s latest Galaxy models provide both a physical SIM slot and an eSIM for added versatility.

It’s worth noting that while eSIM technology offers many advantages, it also has a few drawbacks. For one, not all carriers support eSIMs, and the availability of eSIM functionality can vary by region and device model. Also, the permanence of eSIMs could be a disadvantage in specific scenarios. For instance, removing a physical SIM card is easier than ensuring the eSIM has been properly erased and deactivated if you’re selling your phone.

The Future of SD Cards

As we’ve seen with SIM cards and the emergence of eSIMs, the world of SD cards is also on the brink of exciting new developments. Technology continually pushes the boundaries, expands storage capacities, and creates alternatives that could reshape how we approach data storage.

The biggest SD card you can buy is a whopping 1TB, offering a vast reservoir of storage that could easily accommodate high-resolution photos, 4K videos, extensive game files, and much more. Imagine carrying an entire library of multimedia content in a chip smaller than a postage stamp. That’s the reality we’re living in today, thanks to microSD cards.

But even as we gawk at existing 1TB cards, the horizon of innovation is extending further. We’ve already seen the announcement of a 1.5TB SD card. And a 2TB prototype microSD card has already been showcased in an even more remarkable demonstration of potential. There’s also a new official SD card standard known as SDUC (SD Ultra Capacity) which promises cards up to 128GB in size. There have been no examples of this that we could find, but it does paint the roadmap for SD technology over the coming years.

Beyond SD Cards

While SD cards are evolving, so are the technologies that might someday replace them. For instance, cloud storage has surged in popularity in recent years. Services like Google Drive, Dropbox, and Apple’s iCloud offer ample storage space that can be accessed from any device with an internet connection. The advantage? You don’t have to worry about losing or damaging physical storage cards, and you can easily share your files with others.

However, cloud storage has drawbacks and only partially negates SD card needs. Issues like data privacy, a steady internet connection requirement, and ongoing subscription costs can make SD cards a more practical option for many people.

Additionally, the rise of internal device storage is another factor to consider. Smartphones, tablets, and laptops offer ever-increasing built-in storage capacities, reducing the need for expandable storage via SD cards. SSD (Solid State Drive) technology keeps bringing down the per-GB price of internal storage, and phone storage is becoming so large that most people won’t need SD card storage. This leaves the removable, portable, and swappable nature of SD technology as its main advantage.

If you’ve been seeing the Paramount Plus error code 3205 every time you try to stream movies, you’ve come to the right place. This is one of the most common error codes on Paramount Plus, but luckily, it’s pretty easy to fix.

In this troubleshooting guide, we’ll explain what causes error code 3205 on Paramount Plus, then cover five easy ways to fix it.

What Causes Paramount Plus Error Code 3205?

The error code 3205 on Paramount Plus usually pops up just as you try to stream a video. It’s a playback error caused when the video player becomes stuck in an endless loading loop. Users often see a “Video Unavailable” message on the playback screen just before the glitch occurs.

There are several reasons why you might be experiencing the 3205 error code, including:

  1. An unstable internet connection. Shoddy internet can cause several problems when streaming videos, including the 3205 error code.
  2. Incompatible ad blockers. Occasionally, ad blockers can cause the 3205 error code by causing a glitch as the streaming service tries to load ads before the video.
  3. Incompatible web browser. While this usually isn’t an issue, some web browsers are incompatible with Paramount Plus and can result in the error code 3205. Likewise, your web browser’s cache may have become corrupted, preventing the website from loading correctly.
  4. Outdated Paramount Plus app. If you haven’t updated your app in a while, it may have accumulated bugs that cause the 3205 error code.
  5. Misconfigured VPN. Using a virtual private network (VPN) when streaming can disrupt your connection to the service. Paramount Plus often prevents users from streaming their content if they use a VPN to avoid people breaking geolocation rules.

How to Fix Paramount Plus Error Code 3205

Here are five ways you can fix the Paramount Plus 3205 error code:

1. Restart the Web Browser, Paramount Plus App, and Device

The easiest way to fix this error is by simply restarting the program you’re using to stream Paramount Plus, whether that’s a web browser (like Firefox, Google Chrome, or Safari) or the official app.

If this doesn’t work, try relaunching your device entirely. Simply reboot your mobile device, smart TV, or streaming device (like a Roku, Firestick, or Fire TV), then try to load a video again.

2. Troubleshoot Your Internet Connection

The next thing to do is ensure your internet is running correctly. To watch Paramount Plus well, you need an internet speed of at least 4 or 5 Mbps.

You can check the speed of your internet connection with a speed test site. If your internet isn’t running as expected, reset your router. If that doesn’t work, troubleshoot your internet connection or contact your internet service provider (ISP).

3. Clear Your Browser and Paramount Plus App Cache

Clearing your browser’s cache, history, and cookies can help resolve many glitches and improve your streaming experience. Here’s how you can clear the cache of all major web browsers.

If you’re streaming via the Paramount Plus app, clear its cache. If you’re using an Android device like a smartphone or Android TV, here’s how to clear the app’s cache:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Apps.
  1. Find and select Paramount Plus.
  1. Select Storage.
  1. Select Clear cache and Clear data.

If you’re using an iPhone:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Select iPhone Storage.
  1. Find Paramount Plus and select Offload app.

Note: You should also ensure that you have the latest version of your web browser. Update your browser if it’s an older version.

3. Disable the Ad Blocker

As mentioned above, ad blockers can cause several problems with streaming services. To see whether your ad blocker is causing the 3205 error code, try turning it off and loading Paramount Plus again.

If the video loads without a hitch, your ad blocker is the culprit. To fix this problem, turn your ad blocker off temporarily while you use Paramount Plus — most ad blockers can add websites as exceptions.

4. Force Stop the Paramount Plus App

Another thing to try is force-closing your Paramount Plus app. This shuts down the app completely, letting you restart it in its default state.

To force stop Paramount Plus on Amazon Fire TV:

  1. Open Settings > Applications.
  1. Select Manage Installed Applications.
  1. Select Paramount Plus.
  2. Choose Force Stop.

To force stop Paramount Plus on a smart device like a Samsung TV:

  1. Open Settings and select Applications.
  2. Select Paramount Plus.
  3. Select Force Quit.

Note: If this doesn’t work, uninstall and reinstall your Paramount Plus app.

5. Update Your Device Firmware

An outdated streaming device or smart TV may cause the Paramount Plus app to work incorrectly. To correct this, try updating your device firmware to the latest version. Usually, this option can be found in the settings menu of your device.

Stream in Peace

Video streaming platforms like Paramount Plus and Disney+ have become popular Netflix alternatives over the last few years, but they aren’t immune to playback issues. Hopefully, this guide has helped you get your Paramount Plus app working correctly so you can go back to streaming your favorite TV shows.

An Adobe Creative Cloud subscription gives you access to cloud-based tools, such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, to take your creative works to the next level. That said, Creative Cloud apps can’t always help you with what you need for certain projects, and these days we have plenty of alternatives to Adobe, including free ones like Gimp.

So you might want to try some of these tools and cancel your Adobe subscription. We’re here to help you through this process and give you some information on getting a refund if you’re eligible.

If you want to cancel your Adobe Acrobat Pro or Photoshop subscription, you’ll also have to give up other elements of Adobe Creative Cloud, such as Adobe Stock and Indesign.

What to Consider Before Canceling an Adobe Subscription

Canceling your Adobe subscriptions can have consequences you’ll need to consider. Weigh your options and think if this is the right moment to cancel that subscription, as there’s no such thing as freezing your account and going back to it whenever you want. Instead, you’ll have to go through the account reactivation process, which can be tedious.

Another thing to consider is when you last paid for the subscription. If you want to cancel your Adobe Creative Cloud more than 14 days after the last payment, you won’t be eligible for a refund.

If you want to keep some of the Adobe perks, such as extensive cloud storage, but you don’t need Photoshop anymore, perhaps consider changing the subscription plan instead of canceling the subscription. This way, you get to choose what plan suits you better and keep the perks that you still find useful.

Remember that canceling your Adobe subscription won’t delete your Adobe account. All your data will still be there. If you need to delete the account permanently, contact Adobe Customer Support.

How to Cancel Your Adobe Subscription

Here is a detailed, step-by-step guide on how to cancel your Adobe subscription:

  1. Go to your account page on the Adobe website.
  2. If you’re not logged in, Adobe will ask you to enter your sign-in details before redirecting you to the plans page.
  1. Select Manage Plans.
  1. A new window will pop up where Adobe will ask you if you want to change your plan or cancel it. Select Cancel your plan to proceed.
  1. Choose why you’re leaving Adobe by ticking the box next to the answer that describes your case. You can also write a comment if you think it’s necessary. When done, simply click Continue.
  1. Adobe doesn’t like losing their customers, and they’ll try again to persuade you to change your plan instead of canceling it. Select the No Thanks option if your mind is set on canceling Adobe.
  1. The next page will list the consequences of canceling Adobe’s subscription. Sometimes, you’ll need to pay a fee, and the price will depend on whether your subscription is annual or monthly. Click Continue to finish the cancelation process.
  1. At this point, Adobe will try to get you to rethink your decision again and change your plan or get one of its other products. Select No Thanks again.
  2. Finally, the next page will display all cancelation details. Review them so you’re sure there are no mistakes. Select Confirm, and your Adobe subscription will be canceled.

Once you complete all these steps, you can expect a cancelation confirmation email to arrive in your inbox. That’s when you’ll know your Adobe subscription cancelation was successful. You don’t need to reply to this email or take any other action.

Canceling Your Adobe Trial

You can try out Adobe products without having to pay for them. When you sign up for the trial period, you must add your billing details. After the trial period, Adobe will automatically start charging you for their services. You can cancel your trial subscription before that happens.

The steps for canceling a trial plan are the same as the one described above. If you want to cancel your trial, follow the directions described in the “How to Cancel Your Adobe Subscription” section. Ensure you do it before the trial period expires to avoid getting charged.

Cancellation Fees and Adobe Refund Policy

If you cancel your Adobe subscription within 14 days from the last payment, you’ll be eligible for a full refund. But if you cancel it after those 14 days, you can use the subscription until the end of that billing cycle. This is valid if you have a monthly subscription.

If your subscription is annual, Adobe will let you cancel it within a month from the subscription renewal. That’s why you should mark the subscription renewal date in your calendar.

All Adobe subscription plans renew automatically. That means once you input your debit or credit card details, you don’t have to go through the payment procedure every month. The subscription renews itself without you having to do anything. So if you want to cancel your subscription and not get charged for the next subscription period, you’ll have to do it before the end of your contract term.

What Happens When You Cancel Your Adobe Subscription

Your account won’t be deleted once you cancel your Adobe subscription plan. Instead, it’ll be transferred to the free plan. You’ll lose access to all apps and tools, but you can continue using your Creative Cloud storage. Adobe will also downgrade your storage to 2GB.

If you use more than these free 2GB of cloud storage, you’ll have 30 days from the subscription cancelation to reduce the number of your files; otherwise, you’ll lose some of them. Lightroom images will stay online and be accessible for up to 12 months after subscription cancelation. You can still import and organize them, but your access to the Develop and Map modules in Lightroom will be restricted.

That said, canceling your Adobe subscription is a relatively painless process. Depending on how you initially signed up for the subscription, it may take just a few clicks or involve some more involved steps. No matter what, taking this vital step to manage your finances and ensure you’re not automatically paying for services you no longer need will save you time, hassle, and money over the long run. Remember always to double-check your account details to ensure your subscription has been successfully canceled.

Uber One is a monthly subscription service offered through the Uber app, providing members with exclusive perks and benefits for their Uber rides, Uber Eats orders, and more. However, if you no longer wish to continue your Uber One subscription and want to end your membership, it’s important to know how to cancel it.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process of cancellation using both the Uber app and the Uber website. We’ll also address important details such as refunds, cancellation fees, and other relevant information.

What’s Uber One and How It Works

Uber One provides various benefits and perks to its members. With Uber One, you can enjoy advantages like discounted Uber Eats orders, faster deliveries, and exclusive promotions.

To use Uber One, you need to have the Uber app installed on your smartphone. Once you sign up for the membership, you can access the Uber One features through the app. It allows you to manage your membership settings and take advantage of the perks offered, like free delivery on eligible Uber Eats orders, faster delivery times, and access to exclusive promotions and discounts.

An example of these benefits would be this Uber One Promise: “$5 in Uber Cash if the latest arrival estimate is inaccurate.” The membership auto-renews every month, and the monthly fee is charged to your credit card or another payment method you chose.

To join Uber One, first download the free Uber app from Google Play (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS). Then follow the steps below.

  1. Open the app and log in to your Uber account. If you don’t have an account, you’ll need to create one first.
  2. In the app, select Account at the bottom right corner of the app to access your Uber account.
  1. In your profile menu, find and select Uber One. This will bring you to your Uber One membership details.
  1. On the Uber One page, you’ll find more information about the benefits and perks offered. Select Join Uber One to continue.
  1. Uber may request confirmation to join Uber One and charge the monthly membership fee. Make sure to review the details and select Confirm to proceed.

If it’s your first time signing up for Uber One, you can take advantage of the one month free trial offer.

How to Cancel Uber One Using Mobile Phone

If you decide to leave Uber One, here’s how you can do it using the Uber app on your smartphone.

  1. Open the Uber app on your Android or iOS device and sign in to your account.
  2. Select your profile icon at the top-right corner of the screen to open your profile.
  1. Select Uber One.
  1. Inside the Uber One section, scroll down and select Manage Membership.
  1. Select End Membership to cancel your Uber One subscription.
  1. On the Why do you want to end your membership page, choose the reason for leaving Uber One and select Continue.
  1. Then select End Membership once again to confirm.

If you’re currently on a free trial of Uber One and decide to cancel your membership, the benefits of your membership end immediately upon cancellation. For all other types of memberships, you will continue to have access to your membership benefits until the end of the ongoing billing period.

How to Cancel Uber One on Your Computer

You can also use a web browser on your computer to cancel your Uber One membership. To do that, follow the steps below.

  1. Open a web browser and go to the official Uber website.
  2. Sign in to your Uber account using your credentials.
  3. Select your profile icon at the top-right corner of the screen.
  4. From the drop-down menu, select Uber One > Manage Membership.
  5. From the options, select End Membership.

Follow the on-screen steps and provide any required information to finalize the cancellation.

Do You Get a Refund if You Cancel Uber One?

If you decide to cancel your Uber One membership, unfortunately, you won’t be eligible for a refund. This means that if you cancel in the middle of your billing cycle, you won’t receive a refund, even if you have a year-long membership.

Opting for the monthly billing option allows you to cancel before the start of the next month, saving you from paying for an entire year of service if you change your mind. Even if you cancel your membership shortly after paying for a full year, you won’t receive a refund or have your membership fee prorated.

On the other hand, you’ll still have access to the benefits for the remainder of your paid membership period. Additionally, if an unwanted payment causes your account to be overdrawn, Uber does not provide refunds for any resulting fees or charges. It’s essential to consider these factors before committing to an Uber One membership to avoid any unexpected financial implications.

Are you an avid HBO Max watcher but can’t seem to remember your password? Don’t panic! It happens to all of us. Don’t worry, there’s a way to reset it whether you have access to the email address or recovery phone number associated with your account, or not. In this post, we’ll outline exactly how you can regain control of your HBO Max account so you can get back to streaming in no time.

Reset HBO Max Password Using the Browser

If you’re using a computer to reset your HBO Max password, you’ll have to do it through the web browser. But the steps are pretty simple:

  1. Go to the HBO Max website and select Sign In in the upper right corner of the screen.
  1. On the Sign-in page, where the website asks you for your account credentials, select Forgot Password?
  1. A pop-up window will ask you to enter your account email address. You’ll have to use the email that you used to create the HBO Max account in the first place. When done, select Submit.
  1. Go to your email and check your inbox. Find an email titled “Reset Your HBO Max Password”. You might need to wait several minutes for the password reset email to arrive. If it doesn’t arrive, you may have entered the wrong email address.
  2. Once you open the “Reset Your HBO Max Password”, select Reset Password.
  1. You’ll be redirected to a Create a New Password page in your browser. Here you’ll have to type in the new password of your choosing and click the Save Password button.

And That’s it. You reset your HBO Max password without having to log in. Now use your HBO Max email and the new password to log in and continue watching your favorite shows.

If you don’t remember the email you used when creating the HBO Max account, you can try going through all your email inboxes and searching for promotional emails from HBO. You don’t have to scroll manually to find it, use the search bar and type in HBO or HBO Max. Search all inbox folders, including Spam and Trash. When you find such an email, try using that email address to access your HBO Max account or to change your password.

Reset HBO Max Password on Mobile Phone

If you prefer to change your HBO Max password using a mobile phone or a tablet, follow these steps:

  1. Open the HBO Max app and tap the profile icon in the lower-right corner of the screen.
  1. Tap Sign in to your account and select Forgot password.
  1. Enter your email and tap Submit. Just as described above, you’ll need to use your original HBO Max account email.
  1. Go to your Mail app and find the “Reset Your HBO Max Password” email in the inbox.
  2. From the email, select Reset Password.
  3. Enter the new password when prompted and tap Save Password.

Note: It doesn’t matter if you use an Android or iOS device. These steps are the same.

Reset HBO Max Password While Logged In

If you need to reset your password but you remain logged in to your HBO Max account, you can do it easily. You can do it even if you didn’t forget your password but need to change it for security reasons.

To do it from a desktop computer:

  1. A one-time code will be sent to your email. Use it to verify your email address when prompted. Enter the code and select Continue.
  1. On the new page, you’ll be able to enter the new password of your choosing. To make a strong password that’ll protect your account make sure to use a combination of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. When done, select Save.

To do it from the mobile phone app:

  1. Open the HBO Max app on your Android or iOS device and log into your account.
  2. Tap the profile icon.
  3. Select the Settings button in the upper-left corner.
  1. Select Account from the menu.

After all this, you should have ready access to your HBO Max account. While it may feel like a hassle, the truth is that having secure passwords makes for a safer and more reliable online experience. What’s more, having an HBO Max subscription means you get access to an incredible selection of award-winning shows and movies right at your fingertips. So don’t let a forgotten password stand in the way.

Roku TV is a popular streaming device that lets you add multiple streaming channels and watch these from your TV. However, many users have reported that their streaming sessions have been cut short by an enigmatic glitch — Roku error code 014.30.

In this article, we’ll explain what causes the Roku error code 014.30 and what steps you can take to fix it.

What Causes Roku Error Code 014.30?

Most of the time, the 014.30 error code is caused by a poor or non-existent internet connection. However, there are several possible reasons that you’re experiencing this error code, including:

  1. Connectivity issues. If your Roku device gets access to the internet via your Wi-Fi, you may have a poor wireless signal that’s preventing effective streaming.
  2. TV configuration. You may have updated your TV or changed a setting that prevents your Roku device from working correctly when connected.
  3. Invalid Wi-Fi password or SSID. If you set up your Roku device and used the wrong password or SSID for your wireless network, your device will not be able to gain access to the internet.

How to Fix Roku Error Code 014.30

Here are 5 steps to fix this frustrating error code.

1. Check Your Internet Connection

The first thing to do is make sure that your internet isn’t down. Here are a few things to try:

  1. Check other devices. Try loading a webpage on another device like your Android phone or PC — if it loads quickly, your internet itself likely isn’t at fault. If it doesn’t load, your internet may be down. Contact your internet service provider (ISP) to find out what’s going on.
  2. Reboot your modem. Resetting your wireless router can resolve many problems with your Wi-Fi connection and can be a good thing to do periodically.
  3. Rule out your network. Try disconnecting and reconnecting your Roku device from the Wi-Fi network. Likewise, try connecting it to a different network to see if it’s the network itself causing the problem.
  4. Improve signal strength. If you think the error is being caused by a poor internet signal, you should try moving your router and Roku device closer together. You could also invest in a Wi-Fi extender to get additional reach out of your wireless network.

If these steps don’t work, check out our complete guide on how to troubleshoot a poor internet connection.

You can also check that you’re getting full download speeds by running an internet speed test. If everything is working correctly, it’s time to move to the next step.

2. Restart Your Roku Device

A simple restart can fix many issues. Using the Roku Remote, navigate to your device settings by pressing the Home button and selecting Settings > System. Here, select System Restart, then Restart to confirm your choice. Once your device resets, check to see whether it’s working correctly.

3. Check Your Roku Device’s Network Connection

Next, it’s time to make sure that your Roku device is configured correctly. To do so:

  1. Open Settings using the Roku Remote.
  2. Select Network.
  3. Select Setup Connection, then choose Wireless.
  1. Choose your network and enter your password. Take your time and remember that SSIDs are case-sensitive, so be careful of pressing caps lock.
  2. Finally, select Connect.

4. Update Your Roku Device

If it still isn’t working, you can try updating your Roku Device to the latest version. To do so, you’ll need to connect it to a different Wi-Fi network (like your mobile hotspot), or via an Ethernet cable to your router.

Once connected, navigate to Settings and select System Update (or Update Software depending on your version). When it finishes, reboot your device and connect to the original Wi-Fi network.

5. Factory Reset Your Roku Device

If nothing else has worked, your final resort is to factory reset your Roku device and hope that it clears the error. To do so:

  1. Press the Home button on the Roku remote to open the Home screen.
  2. Select Settings > System > Advanced system settings.
  1. Select Factory reset then Factory reset everything.
  1. Once completed, set your Roku device up and add your Wi-Fi network.

Streaming Has Never Been Easier

Roku devices make watching streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime much easier — if they work correctly. Hopefully, this troubleshooting guide has helped you get your Roku up and running again. If not, try contacting Roku’s customer support at their official website.

If you’ve charged your device enough that you don’t need the battery-saver mode anymore, or if you’d just like to make your device run at its maximum capacity, it’s easy to turn off the power-saving mode on your Microsoft Windows 11, Windows 10, macOS, Android, iOS, and iPadOS devices. We’ll show you how to do that on your desktop or mobile device.

Once you turn off the battery-saver mode, your device’s system functions, and installed apps can run at full capacity. This is because the power-saving mode restricts your apps’ functionalities to conserve battery, and disabling the feature lifts those restrictions.

Disable Battery Saver Mode on Windows 11

Turning off Windows 11’s battery-saver mode is as easy as selecting an option in Quick Settings or turning off a toggle in the Settings app. Both methods achieve the same result, so you can choose your preferred method.

Using Quick Settings

  1. Open Quick Settings by pressing Windows + A on your keyboard.
  2. Select the Battery saver tile in the menu.
  1. The option will say Off, indicating the feature is disabled.

Using Settings

  1. Open Settings by pressing Windows + I.
  2. Select System in the left sidebar and Power & battery on the right pane.
  3. Choose Battery saver and select Turn off now to disable the mode.

Turn Off Battery Saver Mode on Windows 10

Like Windows 11, you can disable Windows 10’s battery-saver mode by choosing an option in Quick Settings or turning off a toggle in the Settings app. Both turn off the same feature, so use your preferred method.

Using Quick Settings

  1. Press Windows + A to open Quick Settings.
  2. Choose Battery saver to turn off the mode.

Using Settings

  1. Launch Settings by pressing Windows + I.
  2. Select System in Settings.
  3. Choose Battery in the left sidebar.
  4. Disable the toggle in the Battery saver section on the right.

Deactivate Low Power Mode on macOS Ventura 13 or Later

Apple’s battery-saver mode is called Low Power Mode, and the feature, like on any other device, allows you to conserve your Mac’s battery to use your machine for longer. If you don’t need the feature anymore, toggle it off as follows.

  1. Select the Apple logo in your Mac’s top-left corner and choose System Settings.
  2. Select Battery in the left sidebar. You may have to scroll down the sidebar to see the option.
  3. Choose Never from the Low Power Mode drop-down menu on the right. This ensures your Mac never triggers this mode.

Turn Off Low Power Mode on macOS Monterey 12 or Earlier

The steps to disable Low Power Mode on macOS Monterey 12 or earlier are slightly different. You’ll still use your Mac’s settings menu to turn off the feature.

  1. Select the Apple logo in your Mac’s top-left corner and choose System Preferences.
  2. Select Battery on the following page.
  3. Choose Battery in the left sidebar.
  4. Turn off the Low power mode option on the right.
  5. Select Power Adapter in the left sidebar.
  6. Disable the Low power mode option on the right.

Disable Power Saving Mode on OnePlus Android Phones

Like many other Android devices, OnePlus’ Android phones offer a power-saving mode, allowing you to save battery juice on your phone. You can turn this feature off if you don’t use it, and there are two ways to do that.

Using Quick Settings

  1. Pull down twice from the top of your phone’s screen.
  2. Tap Power saving mode in the menu to disable the mode.

Using Settings

  1. Open the Settings app on your phone.
  2. Select Battery > Power saving mode in Settings.
  3. Turn off the Power saving mode option.
  1. Disable the Turn on at specified battery level option as well. This ensures your phone doesn’t automatically enable the mode.

Deactivate Battery Saver Mode on Samsung Android Phones

Like other Android phone makers, Samsung offers multiple ways to turn on and off the power-saving mode on your Samsung Galaxy phones.

Using Quick Settings

  1. Pull down twice from the top of your device’s screen.
  2. Tap Power saving in the menu to disable the feature.

Using Settings

  1. Launch the Settings app on your phone.
  2. Select Battery and device care in Settings.
  3. Choose Battery on the following page.
  4. Turn off the Power saving toggle to deactivate the feature.

Turn Off Battery Saving Mode on Google Pixel Android Phones

Google’s Pixel phones are equipped with the Battery Saver mode, letting you extend your phone’s battery time. If you’ve enabled the feature on your phone and are now looking to turn off the feature, here’s how to do that.

Using Quick Settings

  1. Pull down twice from the top of your phone’s screen.
  2. Select Battery Saver to turn off the mode. Swipe left in case you don’t see the option.

Using Settings

  1. Open Settings on your phone.
  2. Select Battery.
  3. Choose Battery Saver on the following page.
  4. Turn off the Use Battery Saver toggle.

Turn Off Low Power Mode on iPhone

iPhone’s Low Power Mode affects many phone features to conserve battery. If you’d like to re-enable 5G, get a higher screen refresh rate, make your apps automatically fetch emails, or let your apps refresh their data in the background, turn off your phone’s power-saving mode as follows.

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Select Battery in Settings.
  3. Turn off the Low Power Mode toggle.

Disable Low Power Mode on iPad

Apple’s iPad also comes with a Low Power Mode to help you save your device’s battery. You can turn off the mode to allow your device’s system features and apps to run with maximum resources.

  1. Launch Settings on your iPad.
  2. Choose Battery in Settings.
  3. Turn off Low Power Mode to disable the mode.

Bringing Your Devices Out of Power-Saving Mode

Power-saving mode is a great way to extend your device’s battery life, but the feature comes at the cost of compromising several device features. If you have enough charge left on your device or access to a charging station, consider turning off your desktop or mobile device’s battery-saver mode to enjoy your device.
